WHAT IS OUR MANIFESTO ??

This is the most frequent question I get asked by alot of people when i present the idea of the MOVEMENT FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE #ICHABAICHE .

Let me respond here once and for all.

Three things are critical for us in the Movement For Good Governance and that is:
GOVERNMACE,THE NATIONAL ECONOMY AND OUR PEOPLE'S PROSPERITY

For many years now Zambia has failed where Good Governance is concerned and remember that Good Governance is the conerstone to national prosperity. Our number one aspiration therefore is that we must restore Good Governance by respecting all the tenants of Good Governance.

Secondly the prosperity of Zambian and Zambians lies in the need to have Zambia becoming economically independent where we are able to mobilise our own resources from our abundance of resource which includes Minerals, land water and air .We do not believe that a rich nation as ours should be going all over town with a begging bowl for our survival neither do we believe that a rich nation as ours should be grounded over a national debt of roughly around $20 billion which can easily be paid off with our own resources that otherwise are being exploited by selfish leaders working with their foreign friends.

Thirdly Zambians must own the economy and so the emancipation of Zambians for us in non megotiable for we do not believe that a rich nation such as Zambia should have citizens dying of hunger and a rich nation nation such as ours should not have 65% of the population living in objective poverty. We desire to build a nation where the success of citizens will be a call for celebrations because the wealth of a nation must be anchored in its citizens as opposed to killing every citizens who is thriving...

The above three pillars are what anchors our vision for the Zambia we want but let me stress that we aspire to approach Governance very different from what has been the tradition.

NOTE THIS.

Over the years, an individual would wake up, register a political party and be the one responsible for formulating that party's constitution with priority being to put clauses in that constitution that protests his own interests. He then would be responsible for creating a manifesto which would be sold to all the millions of Zambians from one man which approach we believe has been the reason we have stagnated because it seems the 20 million Zambian are asked to suspend their thinking and allow one man to think for them.

Our approach as a movement is therefore different for we believe that our greatest asset as a country is our Human resource (THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE) and over the years Zambians have become so educated and exposed and have helped build other nations examples being the Great Prof Clive Chirwa, Zambia Moyo and many others (member that at independence we only had 108 university graduates but look at what Zambia clachieved, now what with the millions of graduates). What has been the missing link is our ability to bring all these minds onto one table to collectively chat the agenda for Zambia

Fellow citizens what Zambian needs now is not a super human(leader) who has solutions to all our problems because we will not find any such a leader but what Zambia needs is a leaders who recognises this valuable resource called Zambians and will have exceptional skills to identify and place these special people in positions where they will deliver for the country.

Our approach therfore as a movement is that we will not give you that manifesto that you have been asking us for but we are asking you to come and join us so that we collectively design an agenda (manifesto) for Zambia which will be a shared vision for all so that failure or success will be a shared responsibility by all Zambians.

It is for this reason that we are asking all patriotic Zambians especially the young generation..all those who desires real change to come together into this movement so that together we can design that change we all envision which change will all will be a part of .

Do not forget that :

GOOD GOVERNANCE, ZAMBIA'S ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE AND THE EMANCIPATION OF ALL ZAMBIANS ARE THE PILLARS ON WHICH THIS IDEA OF THE MOVEMENT IS FOUNDED.
